To contribute to building and nurturing ICT (information and communications technology) talents in Vietnam, one of Huawei's outstanding activities in recent years has been to cooperate with schools and partners to successfully organize digital human resource training and learning programs.
This year, the Digital Talents Summit event has many accompanying programs, contributing to discovering many technology talents, contributing to solving the digital talent problem for Vietnam.
The “Seeds for the Future 2024” program in Vietnam has entered its 9th year, attracting thousands of talented students from leading universities and training institutes in the ICT industry to register to participate (Hanoi University of Science and Technology, VinUni University, FPT University, RMIT University, Ho Chi Minh City University of Transport, Academy of Posts and Telecommunications Technology, People's Security Academy...).
In addition to the series of courses on AI, 5G, Cloud, Digital Power organized by Huawei, this year's program has organized many activities to support the improvement of academic knowledge and practical skills for talented students from August 13-21, 2024.
After the learning and experience process, the 40 best students completed the program. In addition, after recording and evaluating students from various perspectives, the program also found 6 students with the highest scores.
In addition to their high achievements in Vietnam, the 6 students also won first prize with the SkyNet project - supporting the search for flood victims at the Tech4Good competition in Asia - Pacific, advancing to the global final round held in 2025 in Shenzhen, China and having the opportunity to receive startup funding. This is the best achievement of the Vietnamese team so far at the Tech4Good competition.
ICT Competition 2024 - 2025 is also an academic program within the digital talent training activities of the organizing unit.
This year, the program in Vietnam has brought 3 different learning contents, including: Cloud Track, Network Track and Computing Track. After a month of studying, the competition has found 9 outstanding faces with the highest scores in the national round.
The 9 outstanding students will continue to compete in the Asia-Pacific Regional Round scheduled to be held in February 2025 in Malaysia and the Global Finals in China, experiencing the Digital Cultural Tour in Shenzhen, China and meeting, interacting and competing with young talents from countries around the world.
Mr. Nguyen Minh Hong, Chairman of the VDCA Digital Communications Association, highly appreciated Huawei Vietnam's efforts in training digital talent. According to him, the Vietnamese Government is paying much attention to the development of Vietnam's digital technology industry. "I hope that today's talented "seeds" will contribute to the digital transformation in Vietnam in the future," Mr. Hong emphasized.
