Nguyen Anh Minh was born in 2001, a former student of Hanoi University of Science and Technology, currently a Data Science engineer at the Data Analysis Center - Viettel Telecom Corporation.
Minh participated in the Viettel Digital Talent Program 2023 (season 3) and won first prize.
With the topic revolving around building a personalized recommendation system, applying data to create customer portraits for Viettel's digital products such as MyViettel, TV360,... Minh and his team worked continuously, tested and improved continuously. As a result, this project not only won first prize for Viettel Talent initiative but was also applied by Viettel in practice, bringing significant results.
Nguyen Thi Linh is also a member of Viettel Digital Talent season 3. Linh has just graduated with honors in Global ICT from Hanoi University of Science and Technology and is currently a Cloud solution engineer at Viettel Enterprise Solutions Corporation.
Knowing about the program since she was a second-year student, Linh spent nearly a year to improve her knowledge, skills, and experience and then, had a challenging performance in season 3. The field Linh chose was Cloud - a new field to challenge herself.
Linh shared that the time she felt the most pressure was when she finished her personal project. Linh often had to work until 2-3 am, and many times she had to ask for support and encouragement from her group instructors.
“I applied the knowledge I learned in the program to my graduation project and thanks to that, I got impressive scores and achieved the title of excellent student,” Linh shared.
Minh and Linh are just 2 of many young people who have grown up from Viettel Digital Talent.
In the context of the fourth industrial revolution promoting strong digital transformation globally, training and developing digital human resources is not only a need but also a strategy for countries and businesses.
The Viettel Digital Talent program was born with the mission of finding, nurturing and developing a generation of young talents, contributing to promoting national digital transformation.
Students attending Viettel Digital Talent study under the guidance of experts from major technology corporations such as Google, Shopee, Grab and Qualcomm, as well as professors from prestigious universities such as Texas University or Deakin University.
After that, the interns will work as official employees of Viettel, directly participating in key projects and coming up with technological initiatives. In particular, the most outstanding initiatives will be presented to the professional council and the group's leaders at the closing ceremony.
Training content not only focuses on professional knowledge but also guides students to apply it in practice and solve specific business problems.
After only 4 seasons, Viettel Digital Talent has attracted more than 6,000 applications, including excellent students from 15 countries such as the US, UK, France, Japan, and even technology powerhouses such as China and India.
Notably, the number of technology initiatives proposed each season has grown dramatically, with 101 initiatives in season 4, 8 times more than in the first season.
The Viettel Digital Talent program does not only stop at training skills but also helps students develop creative thinking and practical problem-solving abilities. From there, it nurtures a generation of students to become engineers and experts in the field of technology, creating a quality digital human resource for the future.
