According to the plan, the conference is expected to take place on August 2, 2026 at the National Assembly House in Da Nang (NALOD), with the participation of about 200 domestic and international delegates. The event is expected to become a forum connecting management agencies, scientists, experts and the business community in the field of medicinal herbs.
The conference content focuses on assessing the current situation of development of Ngoc Linh ginseng and medicinal herbs, analyzing potentials, challenges as well as mechanisms and policies serving conservation and development. At the same time, the program will introduce relevant scientific research results, creating a basis for application to production and commercialization of products.
One of the key objectives of the conference is to propose solutions to conserve gene sources, develop raw material areas, promote deep processing, expand consumption markets and aim for export. Delegates will also exchange international experiences on conservation, development and processing of medicinal herbs, contributing to improving the competitiveness of Ngoc Linh ginseng.
Within the framework of the program, a signing ceremony of memorandums of understanding on cooperation between domestic and international partners on research, production and commercialization of products from Ngoc Linh ginseng and medicinal herbs is expected to take place. In addition, there is a space to display research works, scientific documents, geographical indications, labels and products developed from research results.
The organizing committee is expected to receive about 22 presentations from scientists and experts at home and abroad. The results from the conference are expected to provide more scientific and practical basis for the process of preserving, developing and building the Ngoc Linh ginseng brand to reach the world market, and at the same time support the implementation of the Project on developing and forming a pharmaceutical industry center in Da Nang with Ngoc Linh ginseng as the key plant. The event also demonstrates the determination to raise the value of Ngoc Linh ginseng and expand its position in the international market of Da Nang City.
