The information was given at the Workshop "Solutions for managing straw in the fields combined with mechanization and improving soil health, launching the Green Rice low-emission brand" held on April 24.

The workshop aims to assess the current situation and propose appropriate solutions in mechanising rice cultivation to serve the Project "Sustainable development of 1 million hectares of high-quality, low-emission rice cultivation associated with green growth in the Mekong Delta by 2030" (referred to as the Project).
Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Huong - Deputy Director of Plant Protection and Plant Protection Department (Ministry of Agriculture and Environment) - said that the project "Developing solutions to decompose straw in the fields to enhance soil health and reduce emissions in rice cultivation" has been focused on field experiments to assess the efficiency of fertilizers in improving soil health and reducing emissions, researching and developing microorganisms to improve the straw of straw, to improve the straw of straw, to improve the straw of straw, to improve the straw, to improve the straw, to improve the straw, to improve the straw, to improve the straw of the microorganisms, to improve the straw of the straw, to improve the straw of the straw, to improve the straw of the straw, to improve the straw of the straw, to improve the straw of the straw, to improve the straw of the straw, to improve the straw, the biotechnology. Effective collection and treatment of straw on a large scale; At the same time, compiling technical guidance and transferring research results, contributing to the successful implementation of the project.

Accordingly, the project "Developing solutions to break down straw in the fields to improve soil health and reduce emissions in rice cultivation" has been officially launched. Along with that is a field demonstration of advanced straw management solutions, notably the technology of integrating bio-calcium burying mechanics - a new fertilizer product of Binh Dien Company.
Within the framework of the project, Binh Dien Fertilizer Joint Stock Company has presented a Smart Water Pumping Station to the Mekong Delta Rice Institute, marking a new step forward in applying technology to irrigation water management in rice production.
Dr. Robert - Chief Representative of IRRI Vietnam - emphasized: "In the process of agricultural ecological transformation, the application of mechanization in straw management is not only a technical solution but also a solid foundation for the sustainable development of the Vietnamese rice industry. When we optimize the management of agricultural byprana in the field, we are placing the first bricks for the future of the future of sustainable agriculture."
The workshop also held a brand launching ceremony for the "Low Emission Green Vietnamese Rice" brand. This is a strategic turning point in building a Vietnamese rice brand, aiming for a high-end market with strict standards on carbon emissions. The "Low Emission Green Vietnamese Rice" brand is not only a commercial brand but also a commitment to responsibility to the environment and society.
During the launching ceremony, there was a signing of cooperation to strengthen the rice chain and green technology development cooperation between VIETRISA and the Food Association, and a cooperation between Binh Dien Fertilizer Joint Stock Company and BioSpring on the development of microorganisms that break down methane to reduce emissions in rice production. In particular, many pioneering enterprises have been granted certificates of right to use the "Low Emission Green Vietnamese Rice" trademark.
