In the context of rapidly changing user behavior, FPT identifies a strategy to "rejuvenate" the audience, targeting Gen Z and Gen Alpha generations - users who prioritize high interaction, personalized content and speed. Accordingly, eSports is chosen as one of the important content pillars in the digital entertainment ecosystem.
To realize this goal, FPT Play implements an eSports strategy based on three main factors including: copyright ownership and distribution of international tournaments; investment in specialized technology infrastructure; and human resource development in the field of e-sports.
In the overall strategy, cooperation with Team Flash is considered a long-term step to improve the professionalism of domestic eSports teams. Team Flash is currently one of the leading eSports organizations in Vietnam, building a methodical player training model, from competition skills to personal image and career orientation.
Entering the third year, cooperation between the two sides is expanded with a focus on community development and content ecosystem. One of the highlights is the FanGTV platform - a place to connect fans with the team, while creating a space for interaction, watching tournaments and sharing content.
In addition, grassroots tournaments are also organized to search for and develop new talents, especially in the field of livestreaming and content creation. Through this, the eSports ecosystem does not only stop at the professional competition level but also expands to the community of players and creators.
Representatives of the two units said that continuing cooperation in the third year is proof of long-term development commitment to eSports Vietnam. In the coming time, FPT Play will continue to invest in content, technology and people, aiming to build a comprehensive eSports ecosystem, close to international standards.
