From October 2025, customers using FPT mobile networks can register and activate the owner's SIM right on the FPT Shop application through identity authentication using VNeID accounts.
Customers can activate their homeowned FPT SIM directly on the FPT Shop application with detailed instructions. Accordingly, users log in to the application, select the "SIM Activation" section, then select activation using an electronic identification account - VNeID to authenticate identification information.
The application to activate the SIM will automatically link to the VNeID application to authenticate data and complete activation registration. And the subscriber will be confirmed as the owner immediately after completing the registration steps.
Through the level 2 VNeID account authentication process managed by the Ministry of Public Security, customers are guaranteed accurate identity verification. The implementation unit always strictly complies with State regulations on security and safety of personal information throughout the process of data integration and storage.
By applying VNeID authentication, customers can proactively complete the entire online registration and SIM activation process, saving time and without having to go to a store or carry a hard copy of their citizen identification card.
This form of authentication also eliminates the risk of forging documents, because user information has been identified and authenticated by a State management agency.
By deploying the feature of activating SIM via the VNeID application, it will help limit junk subscribers and fraudulent calls.
In Vietnam, there are many other network operators, but FPT is the first network operator to deploy the SIM activation feature via VNeID.
