On June 21, nearly 23,000 candidates nationwide participated in the Ministry of Public Security's assessment exam in 2026. Candidates registered to take the exam at 39 exam sites with 983 exam rooms nationwide, of which the North had 547 exam rooms and the South had 436 exam rooms.
According to the Ministry of Public Security's Electronic Information Portal, this is an important exam, serving as a basis for selecting candidates with sufficient qualities and abilities to study at People's Police (CAND) academies and schools.
People's Police academies and schools have completed the preparation of facilities, human resources, security and safety assurance plans, and conditions to serve the organization of the exam according to the set plan.
The Ministry of Public Security has also established 7 inspection teams to directly inspect the preparation and organization of the exam at all exam councils to ensure that the exam takes place seriously, objectively, and in accordance with regulations.
Lieutenant General, Dr. Tran Minh Le - Director of the Department of Training (Ministry of Public Security) said: Based on assessing the actual situation and forecasting the risks arising, the Ministry of Public Security has directed professional units to proactively review and identify new methods and tricks of fraud that may appear in the exam; and at the same time develop and implement preventive measures, detect and prevent early and remotely.
Recorded at exam sites across the country, volunteer teams promptly advised and answered questions for candidates and parents; surveyed and provided information about accommodation and rest facilities in the vicinity, supported traffic regulation, and ensured security and order at the exam locations for schools...
This year, the Ministry of Public Security was assigned 1,870 regular university training quotas for new recruitment, while nearly 23,000 candidates registered for admission. This shows that the attractiveness of the People's Police force continues to be strongly maintained, and at the same time reflects the people's trust in the education and training environment in the People's Police academies and schools as well as the aspiration of the young generation to study, train and contribute to the cause of national security protection, ensuring social order and safety.
