Continuous accidents
According to Thanh Hoa Provincial Police, in recent times, in the whole country in general and Thanh Hoa province in particular, the situation of violations and traffic accidents involving students has become increasingly complicated. This requires all levels, sectors, especially families and schools, to take drastic action and promptly propose synchronous solutions.

According to statistics, from the beginning of 2025 to now, Thanh Hoa province has had dozens of traffic accidents, many of which involve students.
Typically, on February 16, at Km 367+120m, National Highway 1A (through Nguyen Binh Ward, Nghi Son Town), a traffic accident occurred between a tractor-trailer and a bicycle driven by a 15-year-old student. The accident caused the student to die on the way to the emergency room. The initial cause was determined to be that the victim changed direction of the vehicle unsafely, leading to the accident.
Then, on the night of March 2, on Lam Son double road, Tho Xuan town, Tho Xuan district, Thanh Hoa province, a collision occurred between a motorbike and a bicycle driven by T.T.H (13 years old, residing in Tho Xuan town). As a result, H. died and the motorcyclist was seriously injured. The initial cause was determined to be that the motorbike driver did not pay attention.
Most recently, on March 12, at Phu Son intersection, Thanh Hoa City, a car with license plate 36N-08xx driven by Mr. D.S.T (residing in Dong Tho Ward, Thanh Hoa City) collided with a motorbike with license plate 36A-361.xx, carrying two 8th grade students. As a result, one died and the other was seriously injured.
Deploying many solutions
According to Thanh Hoa Provincial Police, there are many causes of traffic accidents among school-age children, including: lack of skills in driving vehicles, not going in the right direction, not paying attention to observation, changing direction or overtaking vehicles that are not in accordance with regulations, not giving way, not keeping a safe distance...

In addition, the situation of students violating traffic safety order is also complicated. Common violations include: not wearing a helmet, driving in a row, speeding, speeding, weaving, using a phone while participating in traffic, especially driving a vehicle when underage.
Faced with this situation, all levels and sectors in Thanh Hoa have implemented many solutions to mobilize the strength of the entire political system and the entire population in ensuring traffic order and safety. In particular, Thanh Hoa Provincial Police plays a core role, coordinating to advise the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee to issue Plan No. 32 to implement Directive No. 31 of the Prime Minister on strengthening traffic safety for students in the new situation.
This plan clearly stipulates the responsibilities of all levels, sectors, and functional forces in state management of traffic safety and order. At the same time, take measures to review and strictly handle if the traffic accident situation involving students continues to develop complicatedly.
In addition, in addition to organizing propaganda sessions and mobilization rallies, functional forces, especially the Police, Youth Union, and Women's Union at all levels, need to regularly coordinate with educational institutions to synchronously deploy propaganda measures. Forms of propaganda include: using social networks ( Facebook, Zalo), through mass media channels, organizing flag-raising activities, extracurricular activities... to raise awareness and build traffic culture in schools.
