On December 28, Phuoc Thang Ward People's Committee (Ho Chi Minh City) organized the opening ceremony of the Phuoc Thang Open Picckleball Tournament 2025, to raise funds to take care of Tet for people in difficult circumstances in the area.
The tournament is scheduled to take place on December 28th, gathering more than 100 athletes who are officials and employees of agencies and units in Phuoc Thang ward; philanthropists participating in supporting and sponsoring to contribute to caring for difficult circumstances.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Tan Ban - Secretary of the Party Committee of Phuoc Thang ward - said that the tournament is also an opportunity to practice physical exercise, improve health; exchange solidarity between agencies, units, and philanthropists.
But above all, it is the companionship to raise funds to care for about 1,000 difficult circumstances in the area. Thereby, helping those in need have more conditions to welcome a warmer and more fulfilling traditional Tet. Hopefully, it will receive the support of collectives, individuals, and philanthropists in caring for difficult circumstances," Mr. Nguyen Tan Ban said.
According to Phuoc Thang Ward People's Committee, through mobilizing support, on the morning of December 28, collectives, individuals, and philanthropists joined forces to contribute more than 511 million VND to raise funds to care for Tet for difficult circumstances in the ward.
