On the morning of October 3, at Nguyen Hue Walking Street, the Organizing Committee to celebrate major holidays in Ho Chi Minh City held an opening ceremony of the exhibition with the theme "Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee: Confidently and steadfastly entering a new era, an era of national growth", welcoming the 1st Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee Congress, term 2025 - 2030.
Attending the ceremony were Ms. Tran Thi Dieu Thuy - Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee; Mr. Huynh Thanh Nhan - Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Council; Mr. Tran The Thuan - Director of the Department of Culture and Sports of Ho Chi Minh City; Mr. Ta Quoc Trung - Deputy Head of the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee, along with representatives of central agencies, Military Region 7, socio-political organizations, religious dignitaries and a large number of people.
In his opening speech, Mr. Ta Quoc Trung, Deputy Head of the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee - emphasized that the exhibition took place at a time of special significance when Ho Chi Minh City officially merged with Binh Duong province and Ba Ria - Vung Tau province from July 1, 2025. This is an important turning point in the history of development, marking the formation of an international super urban area with a comprehensive development space, converging the three most dynamic economic poles in the country.
The exhibition harmoniously welcomes the success of Party Congresses at all levels, towards the 1st Ho Chi Minh City Party Congress, summarizes the 2020 - 2025 term and sets out breakthrough directions, goals and tasks for the new period.
The exhibition will be held at 7 locations from October 3 to October 18, including Nguyen Hue Walking Street, Bach Dang Street, Thuy Van Square, Ba Ria Square and some central locations. Each display location displays 120 photos, introducing the Ho Chi Minh City Party Congresses (including the former Binh Duong and Ba Ria - Vung Tau Provincial Party Congresses), along with outstanding achievements in Party building, economic, cultural and social development, digital transformation, administrative reform and implementation of breakthrough programs for the period 2020 - 2025.
On Dong Khoi Street, an exhibition of 70 photos with the theme "Ho Chi Minh City: Solidarity - Dynamism - Breakthrough - Creativity" shows the vision of building the city into an economic, financial and tourism center in Asia, towards a group of 100 global cities.
In front of Chi Lang Park, there are 50 photos with the theme "Promoting cultural values and people of Ho Chi Minh City to build a creative city", honoring the humanistic, affectionate, dynamic and creative identity of the city's people, aiming to join the network of creative cities of UNESCO.
In the area in front of the Ho Chi Minh City Museum, 10 large-scale art paintings with the theme "Ho Chi Minh City Steadfastly Stepping Under the glorious Party Flag" introduce and express the spirit of solidarity, bravery, and intelligence of the Party Committee, government, and people of the city in the journey to enter the era of national growth.
