This notice is based on the official dispatch of the Ministry of Home Affairs on the Lunar New Year holiday and National Day holiday in 2026 for officials, civil servants, public employees and workers.
The Director of the Department of Home Affairs announced and requested officials, civil servants, public employees and employees working in departments and units under the Department of Home Affairs to have 5 consecutive days off for National Day 2026, from Saturday, August 29, 2026 to the end of Wednesday, September 2, 2026.
August 29, 2026 and August 30, 2026: Weekly breaks;
August 31, 2026: Vacation due to exchange from working day Monday, August 31, 2026 Gregorian calendar to weekly holiday Saturday, August 22, 2026 Gregorian calendar (vacation on Monday, August 31, 2026 and make-up work on Saturday, August 22, 2026).
September 1, 2026 and September 2, 2026: National Day holiday according to regulations.
Due to the prolonged holiday time, the Director of the Department of Home Affairs requested Heads of Departments, Heads of affiliated units and all officials, civil servants, public employees, and employees to proactively arrange and resolve work, ensure progress; receive and resolve unexpected tasks during the holiday.
In case of arising content exceeding authority, departments and units promptly report to the leaders of the Department for consideration and direction of resolution. Heads of units develop plans to assign duty, ensuring security and order at units.
