In the 2024 - 2025 Winter-Spring crop, Hue City has planted about 27,900 hectares of rice, expected to be harvested from May 10 - 20. To reduce environmental pollution and traffic safety due to straw burning, the Chairman of the City People's Committee requested departments, branches and localities to strictly implement the following solutions:
The Department of Agriculture and Environment continues to monitor the environment, updating data from automatic monitoring stations. In case of bad data, propose solutions and report to the City People's Committee.
Coordinate with localities to recommend people to use biological products to process straw into organic fertilizer.
Synthesize cases of straw burning via the Hue-S application and channels for receiving information, report to the City People's Committee for handling.
The People's Committees of districts, towns and cities continue to implement solutions to limit straw burning according to Directive No. 11/CT-UBND dated April 17, 2020. The Chairman of the People's Committee at the commune level is responsible for any straw burning.
Coordinate with the Department of Science and Technology to establish a hotline and promote the application of Hue-S to receive feedback on straw burning.
Direct the authorities to inspect and strictly handle cases of straw burning that cause obstruction and unsafe traffic.
Propagate farmers to apply new technology in processing agricultural by-products, limit straw burning.
