On August 19, the Opening Ceremony of the new Can Tho - Da Lat - Can Tho air route took place at Can Tho International Airport.
Mr. Nguyen Minh Tam - Deputy Director of Aviation Services Company (VASCO) said that in addition to flights currently operating from Can Tho to Con Dao, Can Tho to Phu Quoc, from August 19, VASCO officially increased the frequency of the Can Tho - Phu Quoc route from 5 flights/week to 7 flights/week and officially operated the new Can Tho - Da Lat - Can Tho route with daily frequency.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Ngoc Diep - Vice Chairwoman of Can Tho City People's Committee - said that opening a direct flight route between Can Tho and Da Lat will significantly shorten travel time, create convenience for people, businesses and tourists; and at the same time, open up more opportunities for trade, investment cooperation, tourism development and cultural exchange between the two regions.
This is not just a new route; more importantly, this is a bridge connecting two development spaces, contributing to market expansion, forming new tourism routes and creating conditions for localities and businesses to better exploit their potentials and advantages," Ms. Nguyen Thi Ngoc Diep emphasized.
Vice Chairman of Can Tho City People's Committee expects that the Can Tho - Da Lat - Can Tho air route will contribute to promoting cooperation programs for tourism development, building tours and routes connecting the Mekong Delta - Central Highlands; strengthening the connection of agricultural products, OCOP, local specialties and creating more opportunities for the business community of the two localities to find partners, expand markets and cooperate in investment.
The Can Tho - Da Lat - Can Tho route contributes to shortening travel time from 8 - 10 hours, creating convenience for people, businesses and tourists; at the same time, expanding trade opportunities, investment cooperation and tourism development between Can Tho City and Lam Dong province in particular, and the two regions in general.
