Long Thanh airport approaches the milestone of having 2 runways 4km long

On July 26, according to Vietnam Airports Corporation (ACV), package No. 4, 12, construction and installation of equipment for the 2nd runway, taxiway and other synchronous works, the value of implemented volume has reached about 59.38% compared to the contract value.

According to the current implementation progress, it is expected to complete the cement concrete work before August 15, 2026 and complete all items of the package before September 30, 2026.

Moment of a 3km long strip of light on the new runway in Phu Quoc shining brightly in the night

In the middle of the night in Phu Quoc special zone (An Giang), a strip of light over 3km long suddenly burst out on the large construction site that had been messy with machinery for many months. Clusters of air traffic lights on runway No. 2 were activated one after another, stretching into a "light strip" through the darkness, creating an emotional effect.

That is the final adjustment stage before the standard flight scheduled to be carried out on July 27, the time to decide whether the entire system of traffic lights, signs and navigation equipment just installed will operate accurately or not.

Runway No. 2 is 300 m long and 45 m wide, meeting the standards to regularly receive wide-body aircraft such as Boeing 787, Airbus A350 and Boeing 777. The project was completed after about 8 months: 6 months of structural construction, concrete road surface and 2 months of installation, connection, and adjustment of aviation equipment.

Ca Mau has communes reduced by more than half the number of schools after rearrangement

On July 26, information from Vinh My Commune People's Committee, Ca Mau province said that the locality has developed a plan to arrange public preschool and general education institutions according to the policy of the Central Government and the province, reducing from 12 units to 5 units, equivalent to a reduction of nearly 60%.

The plan was agreed upon by the Standing Committee of Vinh My Commune Party Committee after reviewing the scale of schools, staff, teachers and facilities, in order to streamline focal points, improve management efficiency and quality of education.

Accordingly, at the preschool level, Mang Non Kindergarten, Son Ca 3 and Hoa Mi will merge into Mang Non Kindergarten, and at the same time maintain two facilities at the old school sites.
