On the afternoon of July 16, Quang Tri Provincial People's Committee organized a conference to introduce the Dong Hoi - Hanoi and Dong Hoi - Cam Ranh routes.
At the conference, plans were announced to operate two new routes from Dong Hoi Airport, including Dong Hoi - Hanoi and Dong Hoi - Cam Ranh, from August 16, 2026, using Airbus A320/A321 aircraft, with a capacity of about 200 passengers per flight.
According to the plan, the Dong Hoi - Cam Ranh route is operated with a frequency of 3 round trips per week on Tuesdays, Fridays and Sundays. The Dong Hoi - Cam Ranh flight is scheduled to depart at 12:05 pm, arriving at 1:25 pm; the Cam Ranh - Dong Hoi flight departs at 2:05 pm, arriving at 3:30 pm.
Dong Hoi - Hanoi route is operated 1 round-trip flight per day. Hanoi - Dong Hoi flight is expected to depart at 10:20 am, arriving at 11:25 am. Dong Hoi - Hanoi flight has two time slots including 12:05 pm - 1:10 pm on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and 4:15 pm - 5:20 pm on Tuesdays, Fridays, Sundays.
During the opening period from July 6 to the end of July 24, 2026, passengers booking tickets will enjoy a 20% discount on ticket prices with the code NEWROUTES.
Right from the early stages of opening sales, new routes have received market attention with nearly 1,000 ticket bookings. This shows that the need for connection between Quang Tri and major economic and tourist centers is increasingly clear.
At the conference, travel businesses and tourism units in the province introduced many sightseeing programs and tourism product packages combined with new routes.
Mr. Le Minh Tuan, Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Quang Tri province, said that the operation of the two new routes not only creates convenience for people, businesses and tourists in travel, trade, and tourism, but also expands the connection between Quang Tri and major economic and tourist centers of the country.
Through this, the locality has more conditions to access international tourist markets through Hanoi and Khanh Hoa hubs, while developing inter-regional tourism products, forming multi-destination routes, extending stays and increasing tourist spending.
This is also the foundation for Quang Tri to continue to attract airlines to research and open new routes, contributing to improving connectivity capacity, meeting the requirements of socio-economic and tourism development of the locality.
