On June 10, Ea Rieng Commune Police, Dak Lak province said that the unit had just coordinated with functional agencies to re-release a red-faced monkey to its natural habitat in Ea So Nature Reserve.
Participating in the activity were forest rangers, the Management Board of Ea So Nature Reserve and the People's Committee of Ea Rieng commune.
Before being released, the red-faced macaque individual was checked for health, cared for, restored its survival habits and assessed its ability to adapt to the natural environment to ensure the best conditions for the reintegration process.
Re-release locations are carefully selected based on factors such as habitat conditions, food sources, water sources and safety levels. Monkeys are brought to areas suitable for the species' biological characteristics, contributing to improving growth, development and population maintenance in nature.
According to Ea Rieng Commune Police, the re-release of wild animals not only carries the meaning of preserving rare and precious animal species but also contributes to raising community awareness about the responsibility of protecting nature and preserving biodiversity. This activity also contributes to propagating and combating acts of hunting, captivating, transporting and illegally trading wild animals.
