The two defendants prosecuted are Hua Van Quang (born 1984) and Hua Van Quy (born 1990), both residing in Cat Thinh commune, Lao Cai province.
Previously, Ky Hoa Commune Police received a report about the fact that in the Dong Mau To stone mine area of Hung Thanh Dat Investment and Construction Joint Stock Company in Ky Hoa commune, thieves broke in and stole many sections of power lines, causing damage of about 15 million VND.
Immediately after receiving the report, Ky Hoa Commune Police urgently intervened, synchronously deployed professional measures, and organized a review of suspected subjects.
Through investigation, it was determined that Quang and Quy were the two subjects who committed the above-mentioned theft.
The police identified Quang and Quy as biological brothers. Quy used to work at stone mines in Ky Anh, Ha Tinh.
Around the beginning of December 2025, Quy invited Quang to travel hundreds of kilometers into Ky Hoa commune to rent a motel to commit property theft.
During the day, the subjects went to find out the area, and at night they went down together to commit theft of property to sell for personal spending.
