On April 11, Ia Phi Commune Police just fined Ms. N.T. N. (residing in hamlet 5, Chu Pah commune) 7.5 million VND for the act of using a personal Facebook account to livestream distortions, slander, and insult the prestige of agencies, organizations, and the honor and dignity of individuals.
Previously, Ia Phi Commune Police received a report from Ms. N related to the land dispute in Ia Phi commune between Ms. N and Mr. T (39 years old, residing in hamlet 1, Ia Phi commune).
The commune police determined that this was a civil case, so they instructed Ms. N to file a petition to the court for resolution according to their authority.
However, Ms. N did not accept the instructions but caused disorder at the Ia Phi Commune Police headquarters. Despite being reminded and informed by the police force that this was a violation of the law, Ms. N still used her personal Facebook to broadcast a livestream of more than 16 minutes recording the scene of her cursing, slandering, and insulting the honor and dignity of commune police officers.
Ia Phi Commune Police fined Ms. N 7.5 million VND according to point a, clause 1, Article 101 of Decree 15/2020/ND-CP dated February 3, 2020 of the Government stipulating penalties for administrative violations in the fields of post, telecommunications, radio frequency, information technology and electronic transactions.
At the same time, the Commune Police conducted verification of other social media accounts that participated in comments of a provocative nature, encouraging Ms. N.'s actions.
