The Island Defense Battalion coordinated with the Command of the Bach Long Vi Special Military Zone and units stationed on the island to organize the 2026 training launching ceremony and launch the peak emulation period "Solidarity, democracy, responsibility, excellent completion of tasks to participate in the election of National Assembly deputies of the 16th term and People's Council deputies at all levels for the 2026 - 2031 term" and the emulation movement "skillful mass mobilization".
In 2026, the Bach Long Vi Island Defense Battalion and units stationed on the island will continue to conduct training according to the motto "basic, practical, solid", thoroughly grasping and flexibly applying 3 viewpoints, 8 principles, 6 combinations in training. The focus is on synchronous, in-depth training, close to combat targets, suitable to the specific characteristics of sea and island areas; valuing infantry combat techniques, platoon tactics, improving mobility, coordination and handling of complex sea and island situations that may occur.
Along with that, units continue to thoroughly grasp and seriously implement resolutions, directives, and combat training orders of superiors; focus on improving the quality of building regularity, training discipline, strictly maintaining combat readiness regimes, regularly monitoring and firmly grasping the situation at sea and on islands. Coordination between forces is strengthened closely, ensuring effective handling of situations, not being passive or surprised in any situation.
In addition to the task of combat training, units are always ready with forces and means to advise local Party committees and authorities in disaster prevention and control, search and rescue, contributing to protecting people's lives and property, and maintaining local stability. Contests and sports festivals are organized regularly to improve the level of organization, command, and training capacity of cadres at all levels, building steadfast bravery, regular working style, and high sense of responsibility for each cadre and soldier.
The training time for 2026 starts from March 1st and ends on December 15th, 2026. Right from the early days, the units have proactively done all preparations regarding lesson plans, lectures, learning models, training grounds, and training grounds; organized training and fostering of cadres, unified training content and methods, ensuring strictness, science, and compliance with regulations.
