On November 26, the Ho Chi Minh City Forest Protection Department said that the force had just dismantled hundreds of meters of bird nets in Tan Hai ward, Nghia Thanh commune and Cu Chi commune (Ho Chi Minh City).
Previously, through the people's reflection, Phu My Forest Protection Department had determined the location and tracked down more than 500 meters of nets spread by the subjects in the field (opposite Chu Hai Church, in Tan Hai Ward) to trap wild birds. When the force arrived, the subjects had left the scene. Therefore, the force cut the net, dismantled and destroyed it on the spot.
In addition, the Mobile Forest Ranger and Fire Prevention and Fighting Team No. 3 (Ho Chi Minh City Forest Protection Department) in coordination with Phu My Forest Ranger Department and localities has patrolled, discovered and removed about 150 meters of bird nets in Nghia Thanh and Cu Chi communes.
According to the Ho Chi Minh City Forest Protection Department, fields after the harvest season are often places where many wild birds appear, and are also hot spots for trapping and tools to lure wild birds. The force has increased patrols, controls, stepped up propaganda and directly dismantled a series of spread nets, returning a safe sky to wild birds.
In the coming time, the force will continue to maintain regular inspections and map hot spots for long-term monitoring. Coordinate with the government, police and people to organize periodic and surprise inspections of areas where the subject often takes advantage of spreading wild bird traps.
