Proposal to reduce more than 55% of school branches in Dak Lak

On July 22, the Department of Education and Training (GDĐT) of Dak Lak province said that it had just reported to the Provincial People's Committee on the plan to arrange preschool and general education institutions in 102 communes and wards and proposed a comprehensive plan throughout the province.

According to statistics, Dak Lak currently has 1,238 public educational institutions, including 356 kindergartens, 450 primary schools, 285 secondary schools, 62 inter-level primary - secondary schools, 78 high schools and 7 inter-level secondary - high schools.

Through summarizing the plans of 102 communes and wards, localities proposed to reduce 462 school branches, equivalent to 40.1%. In which, Krong Ana commune proposed the highest reduction with 73.33%; Ea Knuec, Phu Hoa 2 and Van Hoa communes also proposed a reduction of 66.67%.

After the appraisal process, Dak Lak Department of Education and Training proposed an arrangement plan in the direction of reducing 690 focal points, equivalent to 55.7% of the total number of public educational institutions currently.

54 families of martyrs in Ho Chi Minh City are about to receive back portraits of their loved ones

On the morning of July 23, at the headquarters of the Ho Chi Minh City Command (Cach Mang Thang Tam street, Hoa Hung ward), 54 families of martyrs in the city will be respectfully presented with restored portraits of their loved ones.

This is the first donation phase in a series of gratitude activities towards the 79th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs' Day (July 27, 1947 - July 27, 2026). This meaningful program is implemented by the Ho Chi Minh City Command in coordination with the Ho Chi Minh City Police and Team Lee volunteer team.

Previously, all photos expected to be donated must complete the restoration, cross-reference and be confirmed for accuracy by relatives before July 20.

Ministry of Home Affairs proposes to adjust minimum wage to increase by 7.8%

The Ministry of Home Affairs is seeking opinions on the draft Decree stipulating the minimum wage for employees working under labor contracts. The main content of the draft Decree stipulates the adjustment of the minimum wage to increase by 7.8% compared to the current level to be applied from January 1, 2027.

This increase coincides with the plan that the National Wage Council unanimously recommended to the Government after 2 recent meetings.

Regulations on minimum monthly wages according to 4 regions include: Region I is 5.7 million VND/month, region II is 5.08 million VND/month, region III is 4.45 million VND/month, region IV is 4.04 million VND/month.

The minimum wage mentioned above increased from 310,000 - 390,000 VND (equivalent to an average rate of 7.8%) compared to the current minimum wage.

The above-mentioned minimum wage adjustment is about 3.1% higher than the minimum living standard of workers by the end of 2027 to improve for workers.
