Proposal to support families with 2 daughters, young children may be subsidized up to 3 years old
The Ministry of Health is seeking opinions on the draft Circular guiding a number of contents on policies to encourage, reward and support collectives and individuals who perform well in population work.
According to the draft, to encourage localities to maintain the replacement fertility rate, communes with 60% of women giving birth to two or more children will be proposed to the Provincial People's Committee for commendation and support in cash or in kind.
For individuals, localities are allowed to proactively develop appropriate incentive policies such as rewards, financial or in-kind support for women giving birth, having two children; supporting pregnant women; monthly financial support for children up to 12 months, 24 months or 36 months old; supporting lunch costs for preschool children and other forms of support suitable to local conditions.

Adjusting capital for the Coastal Road and Nhat Le 3 bridge project
At the 4th Session of the 9th Quang Tri Provincial People's Council held from July 16-18, 2026, the Provincial People's Council approved the Resolution approving the adjustment of the investment policy for the Coastal Road and Nhat Le 3 bridge project.
According to the resolution, the total investment of the entire project is adjusted from 3,790 billion VND to 3,815 billion VND, an increase of 25 billion VND. In which, component project 1 maintains the investment level of 2,490 billion VND; component project 2 - Nhat Le 3 bridge is adjusted from 1,300 billion VND to 1,225 billion VND. The capital structure is also adjusted accordingly.
The Central budget continues to support 2,700 billion VND, keeping it unchanged compared to the approved policy. The local budget and other legal capital sources increased from 1,090 billion VND to 1,115 billion VND, an increase of 25 billion VND.

Bringing 300 tourists stranded on Cu Lao Cham island to the mainland safely
On the afternoon of July 17, functional forces of Tan Hiep island commune brought about 300 tourists stranded due to bad weather from Cu Lao Cham island back to the mainland safely.
Previously, according to the forecast bulletin of the Central Hydrometeorological Station broadcast on the afternoon of July 15, on July 16, the sea area of Cu Lao Cham has strong south to southwest winds at level 4-5, gusting at level 6, causing light disturbance.
To ensure order and safety of inland waterway traffic, Da Nang Maritime Administration has issued a decision to temporarily suspend the operation of VR-SB class waterway vehicles according to regulations.
The temporary suspension of waterway transport vehicles has prevented hundreds of tourists staying in Cu Lao Cham from returning to the mainland as planned.
