2,000 m3 of landslide soil and rock, traffic on National Highway 279 paralyzed
Prolonged heavy rain has caused 10 landslide points to appear on National Highway 279, passing through Muong Than commune, causing traffic to be cut off. To date, functional forces have not been able to determine the time of traffic opening.
On July 11, according to information from the Traffic Police Department of Lai Chau Provincial Police, due to the impact of prolonged heavy rain, at Km155 - Km156 National Highway 279, belonging to Sap Ngua village, Muong Than commune, there were 10 landslide points of soil and rock from the positive taluy overflowing into the road surface. The volume of soil and rock landslides is estimated at about 2,000 m3, causing local congestion, vehicles currently cannot pass through this area.

Upcoming excavation of 2 more grave trenches to find martyrs' remains at Le Thi Rieng Park
According to Major General Nguyen Thanh Trung - Political Commissar of the Ho Chi Minh City Command, Standing Deputy Head of the Ho Chi Minh City Steering Committee 515, the excavation process has been carried out through two layers of soil. In the first layer, most of the artifacts belong to the liberation army, especially belonging to key units participating in combat in the first Tet Mau Than 1968.

Meanwhile, in the second layer, many other artifacts continued to be discovered. Through historical research, functional forces initially determined that these could be the remains of Saigon Special Forces soldiers who participated in battles against the US Embassy and the General Staff of the former Saigon government. On that basis, the Ho Chi Minh City Command reported to the 515th Military Region Steering Committee and the 515th Ho Chi Minh City Steering Committee, proposing to expand the first grave trench with a length of about 50 m, width of 3 m and depth of about 3.5 m.

Deadline for arranging nearly 3,000 schools in Hanoi
