On August 25, the Traffic Police Department - Lao Cai Provincial Police informed that the unit had made a record of handling a driver who drove a car exceeding the speed limit and violated alcohol concentration on National Highway 279.
Previously, at Km65+200 in Bao Yen commune, the Task Force of Road Traffic Police Team No. 2 discovered a car running at a speed of 71 km/h, while the maximum speed allowed on this road section is 50 km/h.
Through inspection, functional forces identified the vehicle driver as T.T. D. The inspection results showed that the alcohol concentration in the driver's breath was at 0.605 mg/liter.
With two violations including driving a car at a speed exceeding the regulated speed from 20-35 km/h and driving a vehicle when the alcohol concentration in his breath exceeded 0.4 mg/liter, Mr. T.T. D. was fined a total of 42 million VND.
In which, the act of speeding was fined 7 million VND and deducted 4 points from the driver's license. The act of violating alcohol concentration was fined 35 million VND, and the right to use the driver's license was revoked for 22-24 months.
