Hanoi informs about fireworks displays on New Year's Day and Lunar New Year
The Hanoi People's Committee said that the city plans to launch fireworks for New Year's Eve at 5 locations and Lunar New Year at 31 locations with a total of 38 fireworks locations.
In particular, on the occasion of New Year 2026, Hanoi will organize fireworks displays at 5 locations, with 6 high-altitude fireworks display locations combining low-altitude and fireworks. The shooting period is from 11:45 p.m. on December 31, 2025 to 0:00 a.m. on January 1, 2026 (Thursday).
For the Lunar New Year 2026, the city plans to organize fireworks displays at 31 locations, with a total of 32 locations.

Reasons why the Ministry of Education and Training proposes to ban the use of the words "international" and "national" when naming universities
The Ministry of Education and Training is soliciting comments on the draft decree detailing and guiding the implementation of a number of articles of the Law on Higher Education. The time for collecting opinions is until December 28.
The Ministry of Education and Training said that the names of higher education institutions have not been specifically regulated. This is a problem that needs to be resolved. Therefore, the naming of higher education institutions and the classification of foreign educational institutions in Vietnam are included in the Draft Decree.

Starting construction of Phu Quoc 220kV Transformer Station worth nearly VND900 billion
On the morning of December 20, in Phu Quoc special zone, Southern Power Corporation (EVNSPC) in coordination with An Giang Provincial People's Committee organized the "Stopping ceremony of Phu Quoc 220kV Transformer Station, practically welcoming the 14th National Congress of the Party".
The Phu Quoc 220kV Transformer Station project was built with a total investment of nearly VND900 billion, with a route length of more than 18 km, of which 2.65 km are underground cables and 15.5 km are overhead lines, with a capacity of 3x250MVA.
