In particular, on the occasion of New Year 2026, Hanoi will organize fireworks displays at 5 locations, with 6 high-altitude fireworks display locations combining low-altitude and fireworks. The shooting period is from 11:45 p.m. on December 31, 2025 to 0:00 a.m. on January 1, 2026 (Thursday).
For the Lunar New Year 2026, the city plans to organize fireworks displays at 31 locations, with a total of 32 locations. Including 11 high-altitude and low-altitude fireworks display sites and 21 low-altitude fireworks display sites. The shooting time is 0:00 on February 17, 2026 (Tuesday, New Year's Eve of Binh Ngo).
Based on the actual situation, the City People's Committee will propose to report to the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee on the plan and operation of fireworks displays on the occasion of New Year and Lunar New Year. In which, the New Year's Eve fireworks display plan with a new mindset, raising scale and quality; research and apply new, modern light performance technologies combined with traditional fireworks to create impressive, eye-catching visual effects to serve the people.
For cultural and tourism activities, the city plans to organize a series of rich and diverse events before Tet and throughout Tet. The relics are open to serve the people and tourists throughout the holiday; many new tourism products are launched to create a typical traditional Tet atmosphere of the capital.
