Landslide in Dien Bien kills one person
On June 1, leaders of Pu Nhung Commune People's Committee, Dien Bien province - said that at about 6 pm on May 31, a serious landslide occurred on the Phinh Sang - Muong Giang road section passing through Hang Chua village area.
At the time of the incident, Ms. Giang Thi Ca (born 1991, residing in Hang Chua village) was cutting grass along the road when she was suddenly buried by soil and rocks falling from above. Although people and functional forces urgently organized search and rescue, the victim did not survive.
On June 1, the Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Pu Nhung commune visited, encouraged and shared the loss with the family of Ms. Giang Thi Ca.

Cause of 250 tons of mass fish deaths on Tri An Lake in Dong Nai
On June 1, the Department of Agriculture and Environment issued a quick report on the mass deaths of caged fish on Tri An Lake.
Accordingly, from the night of May 28th to May 29th, prolonged heavy rain occurred in Tri An ward.
By the night of May 29 and early morning of May 30, fish in the rafts of households began to show signs of head emergence and death, lasting until May 31. The dead fish were mainly Hemibagrus, carp, and grass carp of all sizes, the majority of which were commercial size fish.
The amount of dead fish is about 250 tons of about 15 raft fish farming households. Dead fish have been processed, collected, and sold to buyers for organic fertilizer.

Ho Chi Minh City Police prosecute 4 subjects for selling more than 1,000 tons of bean sprouts containing banned substances

According to the investigation, in May 2025, through grasping the situation in the area, the Economic Police Department of Ho Chi Minh City Police simultaneously inspected 3 bean sprout production facilities in Thong Tay Hoi ward and discovered violations of food safety regulations on a large scale, including: facility at 52 Street No. 4 of Luu Van Thiep; 100/36 Street No. 3 of Lam Van Hung; 64 Street No. 4 of Nguyen Van Dinh.
During the inspection, the Economic Police Department of Ho Chi Minh City Police discovered and temporarily seized 860 plastic jars containing bean sprouts, hundreds of liters of pre-mixed solution (containing 6-Benzylaminopurine) to serve the production of bean sprouts and some other exhibits.
