Candidates are ready to enter the 10th grade exam in Ho Chi Minh City
On the morning of May 31, more than 151,000 candidates in Ho Chi Minh City came to exam sites to complete procedures for the 10th grade entrance exam for the 2026-2027 school year.

The public 10th grade entrance exam in Ho Chi Minh City in the 2026-2027 school year will take place in two days, June 1 and 2, with more than 151,000 candidates taking the exam. Public high schools in the city recruit about 118,500 students into 10th grade, equivalent to about 78% of candidates taking the exam have a chance of passing.

In the first 5 months of the year, Lao Cai collected more than 9,600 billion VND in budget revenue
In the first 5 months of 2026, total state budget revenue in Lao Cai province reached 9,625 billion VND, exceeding 40% compared to the proposed scenario. According to the Lao Cai Provincial Department of Finance, the above revenue is equivalent to 55% of the central government's assigned estimate and 41% of the provincial People's Council's assigned estimate.

More than 100 tons of caged fish raised on Tri An Lake die en masse
On May 31, in an exchange with a reporter from Lao Dong Newspaper, Ms. Nguyen Thi Dung - Chairwoman of Tri An Ward People's Committee, Dong Nai City, said that more than 100 tons of caged fish (carp, silver carp...) on Tri An Lake died en masse, causing heavy damage to households.

After the incident occurred, the Tri An ward government mobilized specialized departments, military forces, grassroots security, neighborhood boards, and forest rangers of Dong Nai Cultural Nature Reserve to support people in picking up dead fish and bringing them ashore to protect the environment of the Tri An Lake area; collecting them for fish farmers to sell to units to make microbial fertilizer; reporting to the Department of Agriculture and Environment to send specialized officials to the scene to verify and clarify the phenomenon of mass fish deaths.
