On June 1, leaders of Pu Nhung Commune People's Committee, Dien Bien province - said that at about 6 pm on May 31, a serious landslide occurred on the Phinh Sang - Muong Giang road section passing through Hang Chua village area.
At the time of the incident, Ms. Giang Thi Ca (born 1991, residing in Hang Chua village) was cutting grass along the road when she was suddenly buried by soil and rocks falling from above. Although people and functional forces urgently organized search and rescue, the victim did not survive.
On June 1, the Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Pu Nhung commune visited, encouraged and shared the loss with the family of Ms. Giang Thi Ca.
At the victim's family, commune leaders sent their deepest condolences for the great loss that the family had to bear, and encouraged relatives to try to overcome the pain and soon stabilize their lives.
Commune leaders also directly direct functional forces and local mass organizations to continue to care for and support families to overcome the consequences of natural disasters.
