The first private bicycle road in Ho Chi Minh City goes into operation
On December 31, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Construction officially put into use the first dedicated lane for bicycles on Mai Chi Tho street, the section from Nguyen Co Thach to D1 street, belonging to An Khanh ward.
According to leaders of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Construction, bicycles are considered an effective means of transit, supporting connection with buses and the metro system. The formation of separate bicycle lanes is part of the orientation to encourage people to switch to public transport, contributing to reducing the pressure of personal vehicles.
