Vice Chairman of Hanoi People's Committee Nguyen Manh Quyen said that fine dust has exceeded the safety threshold in recent days, affecting people's health.
The main causes identified include emissions from vehicles, especially those using fossil fuels.
The City People's Committee issued Plan No. 359 dated December 10, 2024 on implementing the Green, Clean and Beautiful emulation movement, Plan 366 dated December 13, 2024 on improving environmental sanitation quality in 4 inner-city districts.
In particular, the city is focusing on directing the implementation of green transformation with public transport with the goal that by 2035, 100% of buses in the city will use clean energy.
