Ho Chi Minh City plans to spend 7,000 billion VND per year to exempt buses

The information was stated by Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee Tran Luu Quang at the 5th Conference of the Executive Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee, held on the afternoon of April 1.

Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee Tran Luu Quang said that the Standing Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee has a policy of exempting buses for people in Ho Chi Minh City. Currently, this content is being assigned to the Department of Construction to calculate and implement.

Mr. Tran Luu Quang said that the city is exempting buses for people aged 60 and over, with a budget of about 1,700 billion VND/year. If policies are expanded, the budget is expected to increase about 3.5 times, equivalent to about 7,000 billion VND per year.

Kera candy production boss proposed for prosecution

The Chairman of Asia Life Joint Stock Company and a group of employees proposed for prosecution are related to the production of counterfeit food, including Kera candy products.

On April 1, the Investigation Police Agency of the Ministry of Public Security issued the Criminal Case Investigation Conclusion No. 24/BKL-VPCQCSĐT proposing prosecution for the cases of "Producing counterfeit goods as food" and "Tax evasion", stipulated in Article 193 and Article 200 of the 2015 Penal Code, occurring at Asia Life Joint Stock Company and some related companies; and transferred the entire case file to the Supreme People's Procuracy proposing prosecution against 8 defendants belonging to the Asia Life Joint Stock Company group.
