People confusedly turn around on the first day of Long Bien bridge ban
Recorded by Lao Dong reporters on the morning of March 28, before 9 am, vehicles were still circulating normally through Long Bien bridge. The number of motorbikes and bicycles moving was quite large, especially in the direction from Long Bien to the city center. Many people took advantage of crossing the bridge before the curfew hour to avoid having to change routes.
At about 9 am, functional forces began to erect barricades, place no-entry signs at both ends of the bridge and organize traffic diversion. Vehicles were required to turn around or change direction to alternative routes.
According to records, after Long Bien bridge was closed, most vehicles were regulated to Chuong Duong bridge. Traffic volume here increased rapidly during the morning rush hour, posing a risk of congestion. Some people said that they had not had time to update traffic adjustment information, so when moving to the area, they turned around and changed directions, causing a loss of time.

Ninh Binh urgently reinforces Hai Thinh seawall
Hai Thinh commune (Ninh Binh) has 7.288 km of sea dikes, most of which are solid, but many sections are still single-line dikes on weak soil, with subsidence and cracks appearing. The current closes to the foot of the dike, combined with high tide and strong winds creating large waves, causing landslides of the dike and embankment slope.
From September 2025 to now, the embankment line has continuously experienced incidents. On January 8, 2026, Hai Thinh 2 embankment collapsed in two locations with an area of about 900 m2. On March 2, Hai Thinh 3 embankment collapsed 288 m2 (121 m2 completely collapsed, 1.3 m deep), and by March 5, it continued to collapse about 60 m2.
In order to ensure dyke safety and limit damage arising, Ninh Binh Provincial People's Committee has assigned Hai Thinh Commune People's Committee to urgently direct forces to organize dyke protection according to the "4 on-site" motto.
