Unconventional Ho Chi Minh City center on the 27th of Tet
Real-world records show that from the morning of February 14 (ie, the 27th of Tet), arterial roads that are frequently congested such as Nam Ky Khoi Nghia, Pasteur, Nguyen Thi Minh Khai, Le Duan or Ton Duc Thang have become deserted. Vehicle flows move leisurely, no longer crowded, noiseless car horns or suffocating dust are common.
The deserted traffic is partly due to the large number of workers and students from other provinces returning to their hometowns to celebrate Tet. This is the time when the urban appearance of Ho Chi Minh City becomes the most peaceful and quiet of the year.
In the Ben Thanh market area and the City Post Office, thousands of young people dressed in traditional and modern ao dai flocked to take souvenir photos. The light golden sunshine and cool weather of the days leading up to Tet made the spring travel atmosphere even more bustling.

Ornamental plants in Nghe An are sluggish, garden owners lower prices waiting for customers
With only a few days left until Tet Nguyen Dan 2026, in many central streets of Nghe An province, such as Le Nin Avenue (Vinh Phu ward), Hai Quan roundabout, Truong Thi street (Truong Vinh ward)... ornamental plants and Tet flowers are sold a lot along the sidewalks.
Although the amount of flowers and ornamental plants is quite abundant, the buying and selling atmosphere is quiet. At many points, people mainly stop to take pictures, admire and then leave, very few cases spend money to buy.

Sitting next to a truck carrying peach blossoms at the Hai Quan roundabout, Mr. Duc Anh (resident of Bac Ninh province) could not hide his impatience. "The closer to Tet, the more worried I am. Peach blossoms that cannot be sold before New Year's Eve are considered abandoned," he lamented.
