Orchid capital in Tet season
According to Mr. Trinh Van Si, Chairman of the Bao Loc Orchid Association, currently, Bao Loc land has localities belonging to Bao Loc City (old) considered the capital of forest orchids - orchids.

Currently, Bao Loc land has about 220 households growing orchids, with an area of about 50ha, with forest orchid varieties that have been bred, including many precious and rare orchid varieties.
Bao Loc region has dozens of orchid growing models invested and developed in the direction of high-tech, smart agriculture, serving the domestic market and export.

Specifically for the Binh Ngo Lunar New Year 2026, it is estimated that orchid growers in Bao Loc have sold more than 250,000 pots of wild orchids of all kinds.

Bao Loc orchids are sold throughout provinces and cities across the country, focusing on key markets such as Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Quang Ninh, Hai Phong, Da Nang and the Mekong Delta provinces.
According to garden owners, this Tet, the demand for playing wild orchids is increasing, especially in the Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City markets.
Right from the end of December of the solar calendar, orchid purchasing points have finalized orders and collected goods to serve the Tet market.

Bao Loc orchid varieties blooming during Tet such as Kim Diep Vang 99, Gia Hac 5 wings white throat pink, Gia Hac blinking American, Thuy Tien white mutation... are priced from 200,000 VND to 20 million VND/pot, depending on size and variety.

Mr. Pham Quoc Hiep - owner of Hiep Van orchid garden (Ward 1, Bao Loc) said that his family is growing more than 2 sao of orchids, with about 5,000 pots. This year, there are more than 2,500 pots blooming right for Tet.

Currently, all of these orchids have been sold to wholesalers in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City," Mr. Hiep said.
Similarly, Mr. Vu Duc Nghi, owner of Huong Nghi orchid garden (Ward 1, Bao Loc) said that this Tet, he sold nearly 10,000 pots of orchids.

Compared to last year, the price of orchids this year increased from 20,000 to 50,000 VND/pot, so gardeners are very excited. Near Tet, many people come to the garden to ask to buy, but there are no more orchids to sell," Mr. Nghi shared.
Reporters' records show that most orchid gardens in Bao Loc are in a "sold out" situation, with no more flowers supplied to the local market during the Binh Ngo Lunar New Year.
Ms. Dinh Thi Thanh, owner of Thanh Minh Anh orchid garden (B'Lao ward) said that this year, her family planted more than 1 sao of orchids, of which spring orchid varieties blooming during Tet account for about 30%.
In addition to selling directly to traders at prices from 200,000 - 500,000 VND/pot, Ms. Thanh saved more than 200 pots to sell for Tet at Bao Loc Spring Flower Market.

However, in recent days, when they know the garden still has goods, many people come to buy, so these orchids have basically been sold out.
