Congestion at the entrance to the Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh - Dau Giay expressway on New Year's Day
Recorded on the first day of the new year, the number of personal vehicles heading towards the Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh - Dau Giay expressway increased sharply, causing prolonged congestion in this area. Cars lined up and moved little by little to wait to get on the Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh - Dau Giay expressway. Until after 11 am on January 1, 2026, the density of vehicles was still high, but vehicles could still move into the expressway. Functional forces had to open and close the expressway continuously to divert traffic.
Although the city intersection points encountered great pressure, after overcoming these bottlenecks, vehicles traveling on the main expressway Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh - Dau Giay towards Vung Tau and Phan Thiet were still quite stable, with no traffic jams on the bridge or expansion sections.

Lam Dong flood area re-produces green vegetables to serve Tet
Before the flood occurred, people in Don Duong district simultaneously sowed long-term vegetables such as napa cabbage, cabbage, radishes, carrots, cauliflower... to serve the 2026 Lunar New Year market. However, the historic flood caused damage to almost the entire area of newly sown vegetables.

Don Duong is one of the largest vegetable production areas of the country with about 2,000 hectares of vegetables of all kinds. Every year, along with Da Lat and Lac Duong, the locality plays an important role in supplying Tet agricultural products to southern provinces and cities. Immediately after stabilizing housing and cleaning up the consequences of floods, Mr. Nguyen Van Tuan's family (Dran commune) urgently renovated the vegetable garden by the Da Nhim river. The previous flood swept away the entire area of Tet vegetables that had just been sown for about 10 days.
