On August 26, Binh Gia Commune Police said that they had coordinated with the professional departments of Ho Chi Minh City Police and Dong Nai Provincial Police to quickly break into the store to steal property and arrest related subjects.
Previously, Binh Gia Commune Police received a report from people about a thief breaking into Dien May Xanh store (Trung Thanh Hamlet, Binh Gia Commune) at around 1:00 a.m. on August 21, taking away 20 phones, worth about 180 million VND.
The police force quickly sent people to protect the scene, then coordinated with functional units to examine the scene; conduct a review and isolation of the suspects.
Through coordination with professional departments and the Criminal Police Department of Dong Nai Province Police for investigation and screening, the police initially identified Nguyen Thanh Tam (35 years old, residing in Phuoc Thai Commune, Dong Nai Province) and Tran Tieu Long (21 years old, residing in Dong Thap Province) as suspects. However, both subjects moved to Dong Thap.
After that, the authorities traced and invited the two subjects to the headquarters of the Long Dinh commune police, Dong Thap province for questioning. Initially, both admitted to breaking into and stealing property at Dien May Xanh store. The authorities also recovered assets including 20 mobile phones of all kinds.
On this occasion, the People's Committee of Binh Gia commune also organized a reward for 3 groups and 5 individuals with outstanding achievements in investigating and quickly discovering the theft of property that occurred in the area.
