On July 19, according to information from Vinh Long Provincial Police, functional forces just discovered a business point selling electric shock tools for fishing through social networks, seizing many exhibits for investigation and handling according to legal regulations.
Accordingly, on July 15, the Cyber Security and High-Tech Crime Prevention Department coordinated with My Thuan Commune Police, Market Management Team No. 2 to inspect a business point in Group 7, Kinh Moi hamlet, My Thuan commune owned by M.M. L (born 1996).
Through inspection, functional forces discovered 31 electric shockers used for seafood exploitation and many electronic components serving the assembly of electric shock tools. All goods were temporarily seized to serve verification and handling according to regulations.
Working with functional agencies, M.M. L confessed that from about July 2025, she used Facebook and TikTok accounts to advertise, introduce, and sell electric fishing jacks and assembled electronic components, with prices ranging from 1.8 - 1.9 million VND per set.
According to Vinh Long Provincial Police, M.M. L's actions show signs of storing, transporting, and trading electric shock tools for fishing, violating regulations on protecting aquatic resources. The case is being further verified and handled according to the provisions of law.
