Hyundai Motor Chung Mong-koo Foundation awards scholarships to outstanding Vietnamese students

On December 19 in Hanoi, the Hyundai Motor Chung Mong-koo Foundation signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Vietnam National University, Hanoi, Vietnam National University, Ho Chi Minh City and Duy Tan University on a long-term plan to award the Chung Mong-koo Global Scholarship to nurture future Vietnamese talents.

Under the cooperation agreement between the schools and the Hyundai Motor Chung Mong-koo Foundation, starting from 2025, the Foundation will select 15 Vietnamese students each year and support them to study at top Korean schools such as Korea University, Seoul National University, Yonsei University and Hanyang University as Chung Mong-Koo Scholarship Outstanding Students.

Eligible students for the scholarship are undergraduate students (bachelor's degree) in future industry-related fields, economic management, Korean language and studies, public policy development, etc. and have completed at least 2 semesters at their university.

The Chung Mong-Koo Scholarship worth 25 million won is awarded to each Vietnamese student, covering full tuition, 1 million won for living expenses per month, and 2.5 million won for settlement support.

Students with excellent academic performance and potential will continue to have the opportunity to receive a master's or doctoral scholarship in Korea, and have the opportunity to participate in a global talent exchange program within the community of more than 200 elite students of the Hyundai Motor Chung Mong-koo Foundation.
