On July 4, Cai Ngang Commune People's Committee coordinated with the Green Hero Solution Project to organize the launch ceremony of the Cai Ngang Green model, marking the starting point in building a circular agricultural model, developing green production and adapting to climate change in the locality.
The model is implemented in coordination with the Vietnam Food Bank Network (Food Bank Vietnam), the Youth Union of the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment and the Danish Embassy in Vietnam. The project aims to effectively utilize agricultural by-products, reduce emissions and improve production value.

Speaking at the program, Mr. Ta Hong Son - Secretary of the Executive Committee of the Youth Union of the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment - said that in the face of the increasingly clear impacts of climate change, the agricultural sector needs to strongly shift to green, clean, smart and sustainable production.
According to Mr. Son, developing ecological agriculture, applying science and technology, digital transformation and circular economy are important orientations in the new period. The youth of the agricultural sector will continue to accompany people in transferring techniques and connecting resources to promote production transformation.
Mr. Ta Hong Son assessed that the Cai Ngang Xanh model has a new approach when forming a closed value chain from production, processing, consumption to resource reuse. The success of the model is not only in the number of operations but also creates motivation to change production thinking.

Speaking at the program, Ms. Sanne Høj Andrén - Agriculture and Food Counselor, Danish Embassy in Vietnam - assessed the "Green Horizon" model as a practical initiative, contributing to promoting green agriculture, circular economy, adapting to climate change, ensuring food security and protecting the environment.
Ms. Sanne Høj Andrén said that Denmark will continue to accompany Vietnam through the Green Hero Solution Project, and expects "Cái Ngang Xanh" to become a model for circular agriculture in the Mekong Delta, creating motivation to replicate nationwide.
Ms. Nguyen Thuy Yen Phuong - Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairwoman of the People's Council of Cai Ngang commune - said that the locality has more than 5,243 hectares of agricultural production land with many specialized fruit tree growing areas, gradually developing raw material areas to meet standards and strengthening production links.
However, the locality still faces many difficulties in deep processing, consumption of agricultural products, digital transformation and exploitation of agricultural by-products. The implementation of the Cai Ngang Xanh model is expected to contribute to improving the value of agricultural products, improving income and promoting green economic development.

Within the framework of the program, the Green Hero Solution Project and the People's Committee of Cai Ngang commune signed a memorandum of understanding on cooperation to implement the model, and also presented 50 sets of agricultural tools including organic fertilizer composters and microbial preparations to households participating in the project.
After the launching ceremony, delegates visited the production model at Cai Ngang Commune Agricultural Cooperative, learned about the circular agricultural process, application of microbial preparations, treatment of by-products and solutions to adapt to climate change, towards sustainable development.
