On May 16, the commander of Highway Traffic Police Team No. 6 (Room 6, Traffic Police Department) said that the unit had made a record of handling a car violating regulations when traveling on the Vinh Hao - Phan Thiet expressway.
During patrol and control on the route, the task force discovered a car with license plate 51L - 003. xx violating the speed limit of 100/90km/h when traveling on the expressway.
The Traffic Police Team stopped the vehicle in the area of National Highway 28 intersection, Ham Thuan commune, Lam Dong province.

The driver presented papers in the name of N.A. K (born 1990; residing in Ho Chi Minh City). However, the driver's license had expired.
Traffic police have made a record and fined the driver for 2 violations: Driving at a speed exceeding the regulated speed from 10km/h to 20km/h and having a driver's license but it has expired for less than 1 year.
Based on current regulations, for the above 2 violations, the driver will be fined 14 million VND, minus 2 points on the driver's license. In addition, the vehicle will be temporarily detained for 7 days to serve the handling of violations.
Highway Traffic Police Team No. 6 also made a record against the vehicle owner for the act of allowing an unqualified person (driving license no longer valid) to drive a vehicle to participate in traffic.
According to regulations, vehicle owners will be fined 29 million VND. The total fine for drivers and vehicle owners is 43 million VND.
