On March 7, the Provincial Appraisal Council for New Rural Development (NTM), Enhanced NTM, and model NTM for the period 2022-2025 of Lang Son province held a meeting to review and approve qualified communes in the third phase of 2024.
The meeting was chaired by Mr. Luong Trong Quynh, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Chairman of the Appraisal Council.
Reporting at the meeting, representatives of the Department of Agriculture and Environment said that 3 communes proposed to be recognized as meeting the 2024 NTM standards include Bang Huu (Chi Lang district), Chi Minh (Trang Dinh district), Cao Lau (Cao Loc district). Along with that, Nhan Ly commune (Chi Lang district) is proposed to meet the advanced NTM standard.
The appraisal results showed that all 4 communes had basically completed the set criteria, ensuring the process, procedures, and documents according to regulations. At the meeting, members of the Appraisal Council and representatives of localities discussed in depth key criteria such as school systems, cultural facilities, environment - food safety, transport infrastructure and communication.
The Council also focused on discussing solutions to allocate funding to avoid the situation of background debts for basic construction.
After the discussion, the Council voted and the results showed that 100% of members agreed to recognize 3 communes meeting the NTM standard and 1 commune meeting the advanced NTM standard in 2024.
