In Con Dao, a series of cultural and social activities to celebrate the 136th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birth took place with the highlight being the program of donating 250 white ao dai to female students and teachers of Vo Thi Sau High School and the "Peace Wish" ceremony at Cau Tau 914.

The program has the participation of Vietravel Hanoi in coordination with the Vietnam Cultural Heritage Association, the Vietnam Peace Committee and the Vietnam Ao Dai Culture Association, aiming to spread traditional cultural values, connect heritage with tourism and send a message of peace and humanity.

The event not only marks a meaningful community activity, but also a connection between tourism development, heritage preservation and spreading the desire for peace - a strategic approach in the context of the tourism industry transforming towards sustainability and rich experience.

When the ao dai becomes the "cultural ambassador" of the destination

The highlight of the program is the activity of donating 250 sets of white ao dai to female students and female teachers of Vo Thi Sau High School, within the framework of the community program "Together to school".

Sự kiện không chỉ đánh dấu một hoạt động cộng đồng ý nghĩa, mà còn là sự kết nối giữa phát triển du lịch, gìn giữ di sản và lan tỏa khát vọng hòa bình.

In the current of modern tourism, experience does not stop at "going and admiring", but has become a journey of "understanding and feeling", where visitors find their roots and access the core heritage values of the nation. From that perspective, the ao dai is chosen as a "living heritage" and a special cultural ambassador, fully representing the elegant beauty, bravery and pride of Vietnamese women.

Sharing about this orientation, a representative of Vietravel Hanoi emphasized: "We identify tourism not only as organizing a journey, but as creating valuable experiences. The choice of ao dai in this program stems from the desire to contribute to preserving a cultural symbol, while spreading national pride to the young generation, especially in places rich in historical significance such as Con Dao.

Placing the ao dai in the sacred space of Con Dao further increases the depth of the symbol. That image not only honors traditional beauty, but also evokes historical symbols such as the "smile of victory" of heroine Vo Thi Thang - symbolizing the optimistic, steadfast and indomitable spirit of the nation.

When female students of Vo Thi Sau High School wear white ao dai, it is not just a school uniform, but a continuation of a cultural and historical flow. With the message "Wearing faith - Steadfastly moving forward", each given ao dai becomes a seed nurturing national pride, contributing to building the image of Con Dao as a destination that is not only beautiful in landscape, but also rich in identity and educational values.

Tourism becomes a bridge of human values

Hoạt động này nhằm truyền tải thông điệp về khát vọng hòa bình, đồng thời thể hiện tinh thần tri ân đối với các thế hệ đi trước đã hy sinh vì độc lập, tự do của dân tộc.

On the same day, the "Peace Wish" ceremony took place in the 914 Pier area, with the participation of more than 300 delegates, including representatives of agencies, organizations and local students. Within the framework of the program, the delegation will parade from the Con Dao Museum to the ceremony venue, with images of female students in white ao dai.

The highlight of the event is the dove release ritual - a symbol of peace. This activity aims to convey a message about the aspiration for peace, and at the same time express gratitude to previous generations who sacrificed for the independence and freedom of the nation.

In the context of Vietnam's tourism industry promoting sustainable development, activities associated with heritage preservation and spreading human values are increasingly focused on. Programs like in Con Dao not only contribute to promoting the image of destinations, but also demonstrate the role of businesses in accompanying the community and society.

The event also conveys a strategic message, Con Dao today is not only a "red address" of history, but has truly transformed into a symbol of peaceful, safe and civilized tourism. This is also a clear proof of the trend of sustainable tourism development, where each journey not only creates economic value, but also contributes to preserving heritage, soothing memories and spreading good values to the community.
