In the last days of July, the "Green March" program of the People's Police Academy in coordination with the Youth Committee of Son La Provincial Police left many imprints in Phieng Khoai border commune with a series of social security, education and support activities for people.
The highlight of the program is the presentation of 17 gifts to households in difficult circumstances, supporting the construction of a "19. 8 house" worth 150 million VND, implementing the youth project "Lighting up the border", donating Dream Bookshelves, school supplies and many gifts to local students.
In parallel with social security activities, the "Highland English Squad" model continues to be implemented with many practical contents. Students of the People's Police Academy organize free English classes, guide children to dance folk dances, practice the regulations of the People's Police, propagate drowning prevention and control skills, disseminate laws and support people to access digital transformation and use online public services.
According to Lieutenant Nguyen Xuan Hieu, official of the Political Work Department of the People's Police Academy, the selection of Phieng Khoai is to create conditions for students to directly experience reality in remote, isolated, and border areas. Through the process of eating, living, and living with people, students have more opportunities to practice political bravery, mass mobilization skills, and improve their awareness of serving the people.
Accompanying the program, the Youth Committee of Son La Provincial Police proactively surveyed the area, coordinated with local authorities to deploy projects, social security activities and legal propaganda.
Captain Nguyen Dinh Anh, Head of the Youth Committee of Son La Provincial Police, said that the program not only contributes to caring for the lives of people in border areas but also creates an environment for union members and youth to practice skills, spirit of responsibility and awareness of serving the people.
Green March" not only brings practical projects such as streets lit up, new homes or bookshelves for children, but also contributes to tightening the solidarity between the People's Police force and ethnic minorities in border areas, spreading the image of police soldiers who are close to the people, understand the people, respect the people and serve the people.
