On September 17, Long Huong Ward Police (HCMC) coordinated with Traffic Police Team No. 2 (HCMC Traffic Police Department) and functional forces to examine the scene and investigate the cause of the traffic accident that occurred on National Highway 51.
According to initial information, at around 12:10 on September 17, a tractor-trailer with a crane with license plate 86H - 006.xx pulling a semi-yucuoc with license plate 60R - 051.xx, driven by a male driver, was traveling on National Highway 51, from Ba Ria Ward to Dong Nai.
When arriving at the Long Huong parish cemetery intersection (Long Huong ward), the vehicle crashed straight into the concrete median strip in the middle of National Highway 51; at the same time, it broke the traffic sign and light pole before stopping.
The accident caused severe damage to the front of the vehicle, and the driver's door fell out of the cabin. People at the scene said that a person sitting in the car (suspected to be the driver) was injured and taken to the emergency room.
