Clause 2, Article 23, Decree No. 342/2025/ND-CP detailing a number of articles of the Advertising Law (effective from February 15, 2026), stipulates that online advertising activities must comply with the following regulations:
a) Must have clear identification signs in numbers, letters, symbols, images, sounds to distinguish between advertising content and other non-advertising content;
b) For advertisements that are not in a fixed area, they must have easy-to-recognize features and symbols that allow advertisers to turn off advertisements, notify service providers of violating advertising content, and refuse to view inappropriate advertising content;
c) For advertisements containing links to other content, the content being led to must comply with the provisions of law; advertising service businesses and advertising distributors have solutions to inspect and supervise the content being led to;
d) Organizations and businesses providing social network services must provide users with features to distinguish advertising content from other content;
e) Social network service users when advertising must show signs of distinguishing advertising content or being sponsored from other content they provide.
Clause 3, Article 17 of Decree No. 342/2025/ND-CP stipulates that advertising is not in a fixed area as follows: There is no time to wait for advertising to be turned off for advertising in static image form; the maximum time to wait for advertising to be turned off is 05 seconds for advertising in the form of moving image series, video.
Thus, from February 15, 2026, advertising in the form of videos must be turned off after 5 seconds according to the above regulations.
