The 33rd SEA Games men's volleyball tournament has 8 teams competing.
According to the draw results, Group A includes Vietnam, Laos, Thailand, Singapore. Meanwhile, Group B includes Indonesia, Cambodia, Myanmar and the Philippines. However, Cambodia has given up, so this group has only 3 teams left.
According to the match schedule, the Vietnam men's volleyball team will meet Laos in the opening match at 15:00 on December 13. In the second match, coach Tran Dinh Tien and his team will meet the Singapore team at 5:30 p.m. on December 14.
In the final match of the group stage, the Vietnam men's volleyball team will compete with Thailand at 5:30 p.m. on December 16.
At the end of the group stage, the semi-finals of the men's volleyball event will be held on December 18. The final will then take place on December 19. This men's volleyball event will also be played in Bangkok (Thailand).
In Group B, after Cambodia withdraws, the teams will be given a break in the match with the presence of opponents as originally scheduled.
