In the early morning of December 12, a truck fire occurred on the Phan Thiet - Dau Giay highway, km23 through Tan Lap commune, Lam Dong province.
At that time, the truck with license plate 86C-048.xx was traveling from North to South, when reaching km23, the fire suddenly flared up fiercely from the truck's body. The driver quickly stopped the car in the emergency lane and tried to handle it.
Upon receiving the news, the Fire Fighting and Rescue Team of Region 5 mobilized specialized vehicles and officers and soldiers to the scene. Because the truck's cargo contained many flammable materials, the fire broke out.
The authorities quickly deployed fire fighting measures and contained the area to prevent the fire from spreading. After many efforts, the fire was controlled and completely extinguished.
The Traffic Police force of Highway Traffic Control Patrol Team No. 6 (Department 6, Traffic Police Department) and the route management unit urgently arrived to direct traffic from a distance, regulating traffic through the area where the incident occurred.
