Currently, the Vietnamese team has 6 points after 2 matches, temporarily leading Group B and 2 points ahead of the second-placed team Indonesia (having played 3 matches). Accordingly, coach Kim Sang-sik's team will win a ticket to the semi-finals 1 round early with the top spot in Group B if they defeat the Philippines in the next match.
