Detailed schedule of stage 1 of the SEA V.Cup 2026 women's volleyball tournament

The 2026 SEA V.League Women's Volleyball Tournament will kick off stage 1 from July 31 to August 2 at Dong Anh Gymnasium (Hanoi).

The tournament gathers 4 strong teams from the region including Vietnam, Thailand, Philippines and Indonesia. The teams compete in a round-robin format to determine the champion.

The Vietnamese women's team entered the tournament with the goal of competing for the championship right at home. In the list of 14 athletes selected by coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet, main attacker Tran Thi Thanh Thuy continues to be a face that receives many expectations after maintaining stable form at the national team level.

Before the SEA V.League, Thanh Thuy just participated with the Vietnamese national team in the AVC Cup 2026 in the Philippines. Although the team only won third place overall, she is still the athlete with the most points of the Vietnamese national team, showing an important role in the attack.

Besides Thanh Thuy, the Vietnamese team also has many experienced faces such as Tran Thi Bich Thuy, Nguyen Khanh Dang, Le Thanh Thuy, Nguyen Huynh Phuong Thuy, Vo Thi Kim Thoa, along with key players Vi Thi Nhu Quynh and Vi Thi Yen Nhi.

The remaining names include Nguyen Thi Uyen, Bui Thi Anh Thao, Nguyen Thi Tra My, Le Nhu Anh, Nguyen Phuong Quynh and Ca Thi Tu.

In stage 1, coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet's team will successively face Indonesia, Philippines and Thailand. These are considered three important challenges in the race for the championship, especially the confrontation with Thailand - a direct competitor of the Vietnamese team for many years.

After finishing the stage in Hanoi, the teams will continue to enter stage 2 of SEA V.League 2026 in Chiang Mai (Thailand). The achievements in both stages will contribute to evaluating the preparation of the teams for important international tournaments in the year.
